Time flies. 2 years since my best PRO Ironman finish in Chattanooga. When it was announced that a last minute Pro field was added to IM Chattanooga, I surely was tempted. I love that race and wanted to go back to improve upon my 4th place. However, my focus with @coach_brazier has been on 70.3, so no Chattanooga for me this Sunday. Maybe an Ironman late in the year?.. Anyways, it’s still #raceweek for me! I’m very excited to be heading to 🍑 Augusta 70.3. Feeling fit and focused for a good fight on the day. I don’t think I’ve ever been as prepared for a single race as I am now. #im703augusta .

🏆 Door County 70.3 Champion & New Course Record. It was a special experience to be able to race in a place I love and have made some of the best memories with my family. Having spent so much time in Egg Harbor at our Aunt and Uncle’s condo, this felt like a home race for me. For years I’ve run past the painted pavement for the run turn around and thought “I’d love to do this race someday.” Well that opportunity came and we made the best of it! Getting back on the race course after a rough result at Ironman CDA was just what I needed to test some changes and kick off training again. I was pushed hard by some of the best local triathletes who came hungry to perform. Thanks @eric.r.engel @aramypinho @speedygiuliano for keeping the pressure on! It was great to see so many familiar faces out on course and after the race. Our Midwest triathlon community of coaches and athletes truly is something special. Thank you @doorcountytriathlon for a great race, and making me feel like a 👑 for a day. My Crystal Lighthouse Trophy will be prominently displayed at our Aunt & Uncle’s Door County condo for years to come.
